Fall 2011 Season
Northridge’s USTA Junior Team Tennis integrates match play, team, and individual competition in an organized season. Matches are scheduled at CSUN and other facilities around the San Fernando Valley on Sunday afternoons and practices are held every Saturday. Successful teams will have the opportunity to compete at Indian Wells Tennis Garden against other area winners.
The season starts on Sunday September 12 (or sooner) and will run for approximately 8 - 10 weeks. Team Tennis is a great opportunity for participants to meet and compete against different players in the spirit of competition, laying the foundation for future competitive play. As this is a team concept, parents and players must be prepared to make a commitment to the team on a regular basis.
Each team will consist of at least 6 players with a maximum of 8 players. There will be 4 singles and 2 doubles matches per match. All the teams are Co-ed.
Season Cost: $155.00
Includes: Balls, T-shirt, USTA team fees, practice & court fees
Current USTA membership required,
Other fees: Matches are $7.00 per match.
(These fees are for the coach of the team)
Playoffs: $55.00 per person plus hotels and food.
Schedule: Practice is every Saturday 12:30 – 2:00. Matches are every Sunday usually afternoons. First practice & meeting is Sept 12. No practice on Sept 26 & Oct 3.
